Vintage Handmade Peasant Figurine Burlap Statue Portuguese Folk Art
How cool is this? It's entirely made by hand by a Portuguese artist, it’s in the form of a humble peasant sitting on a small wood trunk with an old fashioned saw. The figurine sits leaning to the side as you’d expect the person to be when performing such a task, I particularly love the straw hat detail because that’s such an important element of clothing for any Portuguese fieldworker.
This is such a cool find. You really can’t get any better if you’re a collector of Portuguese or European folk art objects. This would be a great addition to your collection.
